{"id":3,"date":"2010-05-20T15:16:10","date_gmt":"2010-05-20T22:16:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/historyremembered.org\/?page_id=3"},"modified":"2015-03-23T19:01:10","modified_gmt":"2015-03-23T23:01:10","slug":"home","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/historyremembered.org\/","title":{"rendered":"Home"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Welcome<\/h2>\n<p>to the civil war monument website which was originally set up in 2000 as a tool to keep the interested public informed regarding the Restoration Project of the Kent County Civil War Monument located in downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">In 2003, that restoration was completed and this website now serves to provide information on various monuments, memorials and projects, mainly in Kent County, Michigan, but in other areas as well.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><em>This web site exists to give honor and to preserve the memory of the \u201cboys who wore the blue\u201d serving in the Union army during the American Civil War (1861-1865) and to the men and women of all wars who have served our country in all wars.
